Students in Mrs. Bennett's 2nd grade classroom worked together in small groups to complete the "Help Save Fred" STEM activity. Students received a tray with a gummy ring (life jacket), a cup (boat), 4 paper clips, and a gummy worm (Fred). Fred's boat overturned and he needed his life jacket. Students had to work together to safely get Fred's boat turned over and Fred back into his life jacket, but they could only use paper clips. This was a challenging task, but the students had a great time working together.
